In order to reduce erosion at the riverbank of Cisadane in South Tangerang, BINUS University has initiated a Kiray tree planting program. The program is a collaboration between BINUS University and the BankSaSuCi community (komunitas Bank Sampah Sungai Cisadane). As a part of the program, BINUS University has help planted 50 Kiray trees, together with students from five of its campuses in the Greater Jakarta area, on May 28^th and 30^th, 2024.

Not only plant trees, students at BINUS ASO School of Engineering, BINUS University have also developed a mobile application to help people monitor the growth of planted trees on the riverbank of Cisadane, under the supervision and collaboration with the BankSaSuCi community. The mobile application is initially developed for Android mobile phones for initial testing.

The mobile application has the basic features for registering and recording data about the planted trees. Each tree is given a QR code label that is used to identify the tree. The recorded data includes the donor individual/institution, type of tree, location, height, and the picture of the tree. 

Using mobile application installed in phones, we can have many people to help monitoring the condition of the planted trees. All the data is recorded in a cloud database to give information about the survival rate of the planted trees for the donors. It can also provide information about the effectiveness of the planting strategy, in order to increase the survival rate.
